Season Series to Date:  Dayton 2, West Michigan 2.   Current Series to Date:  West Michigan 1, Dayton 0.
Last Game: Friday: West Michigan 5, Dayton 4. The Whitecaps scored two runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to earn a walk-off win. With Dayton leading 4-3 in the ninth and runners at first and second with two outs, Cole Peterson hit a sinking liner to center field. 2018 Team Notes

  • The Dragons collected 12 hits last night, their highest hit total in a game since May 21. They had failed to reach double figures in hits in 20 of the last 21 games prior to last night.
  • The Dragons have committed just two errors in their last nine games.
  • Dragons pitchers have allowed just 10 runs (eight earned runs) in the four games on the current road trip (34.2 innings), posting an ERA of 2.08.
  • The run totals for South Bend in the last series (2, 1, 2) marked the three lowest run totals of the season for a Dragons opponent in a Dragons road game. Dragons pitchers had not allowed less than three runs in a road game until that series.
