Registration is well under way for this Saturday's Dragons 5K, with over 2,000 people already signing up for one of the Miami Valley's biggest races. Each individual who registers for the event will receive a $75 value race bag.

All participants in the run receive an official neon orange 5K shirt, four lawn tickets to a Dragons game, and a Dragons hat, and entry to the post-race party inside the stadium for themselves and their supporters.

The registration fee is $30 during the week of the race. Kids age 17 and under can register for just $15. Fans can sign up on Friday by visiting the box office at Fifth Third Field between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or the day of the race from 7:00-8:45 a.m.

The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. for competitive runners and 8:45am for non-competitive runners, walkers, and strollers on July 15 at Fifth Third Field. Participants may choose to run or walk the course. Baby strollers are also permitted. The course will move through downtown Dayton and end back at the ballpark for a post-race party.

The post-race fun includes fruit and water for participants, a kid's obstacle course, inflatable games, an appearance by Heater and Gem, face painting, and more activities for the whole family.

Awards will be given out to the top 3 males/females in each age group and top 3 finishing groups. The top three male and female finishers will receive a specially-engraved baseball bat. Top groups will receive great group prizes including a luxury suite to a future Dragons game and gift cards.
