Fluor Field will help host the St. Paddy's Day Dash and Bash presented by Zaxby's and powered by Jarden on Saturday, March 15th. This family-friendly fundraising event in partnership with Palmetto Children's Charity and Jarden Process Solutions is free, but proceeds from the event will go toward local children's charities.
Registration for the Dash portion of the event begins at Fluor Field at 6:30 AM. The 5K will begin at 8:00, and the 1 mile run/walk begins at 9:00, both of which will end at home plate at Fluor Field. When the 5K begins at 8:00, The Sound Committee will take the stage with live Irish music in the Paladin Plateau.
The Bash portion of the day begins with the runner awards at 9:00, a charity check presentation at 9:30, and a kid's fun run beginning at the Field Street gate at 9:45. A costume contest for cash prizes will begin at 10:00, and the Bash will continue until 2:00, highlighted by a photo booth, a silent auction, and kid's activities such as bounce houses, face painting and more. The live Irish music will continue after The Sound Committee finishes at noon, as Emerald Road will take the stage until 2:00.
Food and beverage will be served all day, and both The 500 Club and the concession stands will feature food and beverage specials on traditional Irish favorites, such as Irish stew and bangers and mash, alongside your ballpark favorites.
Stick around after the Dash & Bash is over to watch some baseball, as first pitch between Michigan State and Harvard is set for 2:00. Admission to the game is complimentary.
