Louisville, KY --- Ji-Man Choi homered twice, driving in five, while Jeremy Hazelbaker finished a triple shy of the cycle as the Durham Bulls gored the Louisville Bats 13-3 on Thursday night at Louisville Slugger Field.
Hazelbaker began the game with a rule-book double that bounced on the centerfield warning track and over the wall, then smacked a three-run shot in the second and singled in the third inning. Durham (39-31) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, with Hazelbaker's homer growing the lead to 5-0 in the second. The Bulls put the game away with six in the third, highlighted by homers from Brandon Lowe and Choi.
Trailing 11-0, Louisville (26-42) scored its three runs on a pair of homers from top prospect Nick Senzel, one off of starting pitcher Forrest Snow (W, 4-4) and reliever Jaime Schultz.
Snow worked his longest start in nearly three years, needing just 80 pitches to throw seven innings. Snow permitted five hits, one walk and struck out six in the victory.
The Bulls won the series 2-1 and claimed the season-series 7-3.
Durham's road trip continues Friday night in Indianapolis with Andrew Moore opposing Indianapolis' Alex McRae at 7:15 PM ET.
