Bulls Rally Past Iron Pigs 6-5; Win 3rd Straight

Allentown, PA --- Shelley Duncan homered and drove in three as Durham defeated Lehigh Valley 6-5 on Wednesday night.
Duncan's eighth homer tied the game in the third, then the Bulls rallied again in the late innings to tie and win. Ryan Roberts lifted a sacrifice fly to tie the game in the seventh, with Cole Figueroa singling home the tie-breaking run in the eighth.
Juan Sandoval (W, 1-1) notched the win in relief, working two perfect frames. Matt Buchsmann, Sandoval and Josh Lueke (S, 9) retired the final 19 batters of the game.
Durham (50-30) scored twice in the first, sending eight to the plate with Roberts and Duncan singling home runs. But the Iron Pigs scored three times against Buschmann for the lead, then added another run in the second to push the Bulls behind 4-2.
Brandon Guyer collected four hits for the Bulls, including a pair of doubles. Vince Belnome's 13-game hitting streak ended, going 0-3 with two walks.
The Bulls will send JD Martin to the hill on Thursday night against Tyler Cloyd at 7:05 PM ET.
