Former Durham Bulls infielder Reid Brignac will be joining the Bulls coaching staff for the 2026 season, as announced by Brignac himself this week. He is expected to serve in a role as an assistant coach, with the rest of the coaching staff to be announced at some point early

In 303 career contests with Durham between the 2008-09 and 2011-12 seasons, Brignac combined for a .255 average (294-1152), adding 146 runs, 70 doubles, seven triples, 26 homers and 137 RBI. He would go on to play parts of nine seasons in the Big Leagues, batting .219 (194-886) along with 83 runs, 36 doubles, four triples, 12 homers and 84 RBI between the Tampa Bay Rays (2008-12), Colorado Rockies (2013), New York Yankees (2013), Philadelphia Phillies (2014), Miami Marlins (2015), and Atlanta Braves (2016).

Brignac most recently has served as a manager in the New York Mets organization, helming Double-A Binghamton the past four seasons. In his five years as a minor league manager he has accumulated a 346-312 record (.526), including a 90-46 clip (.662) in 2025 en route to an Eastern League championship.
