The Rochester Red Wings scored five unearned runs in the bottom of the fifth to take the final game of the series, 7-5 over the Durham Bulls on Sunday afternoon from Innovative Field.

Up 3-0 in the fifth, the Red Wings (12-31) loaded the bases with none out against Bulls starter Joe Rock (L, 1-3). Darren Baker hit a comebacker to Rock, who threw errantly in the vicinity of home plate, permitting two runs to score. On the next play, Bob Seymour misplayed a grounder with the infield in for another Red Wings run. After Rock was relieved by Mason Englert, Trey Lipscomb surrendered a two-run popfly single to cap the frame.

The Red Wings added two runs in the sixth to assume a 7-3 lead.

The Bulls, the best defensive team in Triple-A and MLB, committed a season-high four errors in the loss, leading to six unearned runs.

Tanner Murray homered to put the Bulls ahead in the first inning, then Brock Jones drilled his second of the series, a two-run shot in the third.

Durham won the series with the last place Red Wings four-games-to-two.

How It Happened: Baker's comebacker to the mound in the fifth proved critical. Rock entered the inning having shutout the Red Wings through four. A pair of soft hits followed by a four-pitch walk set up trouble for Rock. Baker's one-hopper to Rock was a 1-2-3 double play candidate, but Rock's throw was nowhere near home plate, sailing far wide of catcher Tres Barrrea. Instead of maintaining a 3-0 lead with two outs, the Red Wings scored twice and added three more in the inning and never looked back.

Gerber's Run Continues: Joey Gerber pitched a scoreless eighth inning to extend his scoreless streak to 19 1/3 innings.

What's Next: The Bulls' two-week road trip heads to Worcester, Massachusetts with the opener of six against the Worcester Red Sox Tuesday night at 6:05 PM ET. Joe Boyle (3-3, 1.46) is slated to start the opener for the Bulls.
