Graham Homers Twice in SeaWolves Shutout Win

ERIE, PA - The Erie SeaWolves (34-16, 70-48) cruised to a 7-0 victory against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (20-30, 54-63) behind four home runs from the offense and seven dominant shutout innings from Kenny Serwa on the mound on Saturday night at UPMC Park.
Erie opened the scoring in the bottom of the first as Peyton Graham launched a solo home run to put the SeaWolves on the board with a 1-0 lead.
The SeaWolves added on in the second inning when Luke Shliger crushed another home run over the net in right field to extend the lead to 2-0. It was Shliger's second home run in his six games with the SeaWolves this season.
After a quiet third and fourth, the Erie offense was reawakened in the fifth. West Michigan call-up Clayton Campbell singled with one out for his first Double-A hit and Viandel Pena pushed him to second base with a single of his own. With the top of the order up, Woody Hadeen smoked a triple off the wall in left field to clear the bases and give Erie a 4-0 advantage. Graham followed Hadeen with a 2-run home run, his second of the game, to make it a 6-0 Erie lead.
It was Kenny Serwa's day on the mound. The knuckleballer hurled seven scoreless innings with six strikeouts. In four starts this season against Northeast division teams, Serwa has accumulated a 0.73 ERA in 24.2 IP with 18 strikeouts and a 0.81 WHIP.
The Erie offense struck for a final time in the sixth when Izaac Pacheco blasted his 16th home run of his SeaWolves season, a solo home run, to make it a 7-0 Erie lead.
Yoniel Curet and Tanner Kohlhepp covered the final two innings in relief for Erie's pitching staff. Curet struck out the first two he faced while retiring the side in order. Kohlhepp forced a groundout and popup before striking out Alexis Hernandez to finish off the win.
The SeaWolves and Fisher Cats play the series' finale Sunday afternoon at 1:35 PM. Lefty Joe Miller takes the mound for Erie for his second start of the series against Nolan Perry for New Hampshire.
