Erie, PA – The Erie SeaWolves, Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, have been selected as the Eastern League finalist for the MiLB Together Award. The award recognizes a Minor League Baseball team that demonstrates an outstanding, ongoing commitment to charitable service, support, and leadership within both their local community and within the baseball industry.

“The SeaWolves are honored to be a finalist for the MiLB Together Award,” SeaWolves President Greg Coleman said. “Minor League Baseball teams do so much impactful work in their communities. Representing the Eastern League is a privilege for our entire organization. This recognition speaks to the work of our staff, the commitment of our partners, and the support of SeaWolves fans.”

The Erie SeaWolves’ MiLB Together Award submission highlighted the organization’s continued commitment to the Erie community, including new initiatives launched in 2026 such as SeaWolves C.A.R.E. Week, which brought staff and players into the community for hands-on service, and the inaugural SeaWolves Community Fund Classic golf tournament. The submission also showcased the SeaWolves Community Fund’s year-round impact, including more than $250,000 in cash and in-kind support, school programs that reach more than 25,000 students annually, and the Chace Numata Scholarship program, which supports college-bound student-athletes.

The SeaWolves Community Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of children and adults in the greater Erie region. The Fund places a special emphasis on supporting youth programs focused on baseball, education, and wellness.

The winner will be announced at the MiLB Award Show on Tuesday, October 13, during the MiLB Business Summit in Louisville, Kentucky.
