EVERETT, WA: On Opening Day 1998, the Everett AquaSox welcomed in a new 'Voice of the Frogs' as Pat Dillon took to the airwaves as the new play-by-play voice of the team on 90.7 FM KSER. Pat is the longest tenured broadcaster in the Northwest League and Wednesday night’s AquaSox game will be another milestone for him as he will call the 2,000th game of his career.

His 2,000 games include 1,996 NWL games (including 6 Division Series and 4 Championship Series), 3 Pacific Coast League games and one NWL playoff game as a guest broadcaster. His 1,000th career broadcast game took place on June 25, 2008 against Boise and his 1,500th game was July 27, 2014 against Tri-City.

“On behalf of the organization, we would like to congratulate Pat on this amazing accomplishment,” said Everett AquaSox General Manager Danny Tetzlaff. "As baseball seasons come and go, so do players and managers, but one constant for the team since 1998 has been Pat. His baseball memories and stories are something that any baseball fan would be jealous of.”

A native of Santa Barbara, California, he grew up a Los Angeles Dodger fan listening to Ford Frick Award winner Vin Scully call the game. After high school, Pat joined the Navy and used the Navy GI Bill to earn a degree in economics from the University of Washington.

Pat began his broadcasting career with the Bellingham Giants on June 15, 1995, before moving with the team to Salem-Keizer in 1997.

“I go way back to the beginning of Pat's career in baseball when I hired him to become the voice of the Bellingham Giants. I remember driving down Interstate 5 when I popped in his broadcast tape into my car stereo - I knew instantly when I heard his voice that I would offer him the job.” said Jerry Walker. “He has stood the test of time and has built a remarkable career.”

Ironically his first game of his career was on the road against the newly rebranded Everett AquaSox. Prior to the start of the 1998 season, he was hired by Everett and the rest is history.

“Pat is the dean of broadcasters in our league for a reason. He’s a consummate professional and very easy to listen to. Whenever I’m driving within listening distance of Everett, I’ll tune in to hear him call a game. AquaSox fans are fortunate to have him,” said Mike Boyle the voice of the Spokane Indians.

The 2,000th broadcast begins with Wednesday’s first pitch at 6:05 p.m. from Funko Field.
