PASCO, WA: Four Tri City Dust Devils (14-25, 43-59) pitchers combined to hold the Everett AquaSox (18-21, 49-55) to two runs and the offense did just enough to win a tight game, 3-2.

Things looked good early, as Everett took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Robert Perez Jr. doubled and then scored on a Mike Salvatore RBI single.

The AquaSox would hold onto the lead until the bottom of the third inning. The Dust Devils led off the inning with back-to-back base hits by D'Shawn Knowles and Kyren Paris. Gabe Matthews grounded out to second base to score Knowles to tie the game up. Later in the inning, Joe Stewart singleed to give the Dust Devils a 2-1 lead.

The Dust Devils added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth inning as Steven Rivas doubled in a run, making the score 3-1.

The AquaSox made things interesting in the top of the ninth inning. Ben Ramirez pulled Everett to within one run when he led off the frame with a home run over the right field wall, his first since joining the team back on July 30. With the game tying run in scoring position with one you, Everett couldn't get the clutch hit.

AquaSox starting pitcher Jordan Jackson rebounded from a rough outing last week against Hillsboro and had a solid outing in the loss. Jackson pitched five innings, allowed seven hits, two runs, one earned run, two walks and two strikeouts. Rodriguez finished up the night by going two-for-three with a walk. Rodriguez has had multiple base hits in 11 of his last 22 games.
