Sox Lose Fourth Straight, 12-8

13 Hits Not Enough for Everett in Loss

Everett, WA - The Everett AquaSox (19-25, 2-4) failed to beat the Spokane Indians (21-23, 5-1) after collecting 13 hits. The Frogs lost their fourth straight, 12-8, on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Everett Memorial Stadium. 

Everett, WA - The Everett AquaSox (19-25, 2-4) failed to beat the Spokane Indians (21-23, 5-1) after collecting 13 hits. The Frogs lost their fourth straight, 12-8, on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Everett Memorial Stadium. 

The Frogs put two early runs on the board when Joe Venturino singled to right field, scoring both Onil Pena and Juan Camacho, 2-0.
RHP Jose Santiago gave up three runs allowing the Indians to snatch a one-run lead in the third inning, 3-2. Two doubles by Ronald Rosario, Chris Torres, and a Eugene Helder single to right field scoring Rosario, tied the game at 3.
Adonis De La Cruz relieved Santiago in the fourth inning after Spokane collected two runs, 5-3. The Frogs tied the game in the bottom half when Rosario hit a two-run triple to right field. The Frogs stole the lead when Rosario scored on a single by Joseph Rosa to right field, 6-5.
Spokane regained the lead the fifth inning when they managed to score two runs, 7-6. The Indians would further extend the lead in the sixth, 9-6. Venturino and Johnny Adams both hit RBI singles in the bottom half of the sixth, giving the Frog's a shot at retake the lead, 9-8.
The Indians tacked on three more runs in the ninth inning, including a homerun off relief pitcher Ted Hammond. Everett was unable to score any runs in the bottom half and lost their fourth straight game against the Spokane, 12-8.
The Sox will return tomorrow, July 30, 2017, at 4:05 PM to take on the Spokane Indians for the final game of the three-game series. The first 1,000 fans will receive an official 2017 AquaSox team poster with a post game autograph session directly after the game.
