Graduation Plus Recognizing that jobs in today’s workforce require more than a high school education, Greenville County Schools is committed to graduating students with a diploma, plus a technical certification and/or college credit. The Greenville Technical College Center for Manufacturing Innovation (CMI) provides an engaging environment that gives students the tools needed to succeed in advanced manufacturing careers and employers the skilled workforce required for commercial success. Learn more

The School of Advanced Manufacturing and Transportation Technology at Greenville Technical College provides classes for over 600 credit and non-credit students annually including dual-enrolled high school students. The school offers the Associate in Applied Science Degree and Certificate in Applied Science credentials. Uniquely, the school offers many experiential learning opportunities through internships, apprenticeships and tech scholar programs with local industry, and the aircraft maintenance technology program has a partnership with the SC National Guard. In 2021, GE launched Next Engineers, a global college- and career-readiness program to increase the diversity of young people in engineering. The goal is to reach more than 14,000 students in four cities globally over the next five years. The program engages students (ages 13 to 18) in hands-on engineering concepts and careers and ultimately awards partial higher education scholarships to pursue engineering degrees. The Technical Scholars Program selects students to develop hands-on work experience while earning their degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) or Electronics Engineering Technology (EET). Michelin Technical Scholars receive scholarships to cover the cost of tuition, fees and books for the program along with competitive pay and part-time work in a Michelin manufacturing facility.
