Greenville, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs never trailed in Monday night's game at Fluor Field as they defeated the Greenville Drive 6-2 to clinch a victory in the four-game series.
Like the other games in the series, the pitching was strong early as no teams scored in the first three innings, but the RiverDogs (8-2, 41-37) got to Enmanuel De Jesus (2-1) for four runs over the next two frames.
Dermis Garcia doubled with one out in the fourth and later scored on a single by Miguel Flames to put Charleston ahead, and Mitchell Hansen followed with a triple to right field to plate Flames.
Jason Lopez drilled a two-out, two-run home run off the batter's eye in center field in the fifth to extend the lead to 4-0.

The run support was plenty for Rony Garcia (3-4), who shut out the Drive (4-8, 29-52) for six innings while allowing just two hits and one walk with three strikeouts.
The RiverDogs plated a run in the seventh on a double and a wild pitch, but Greenville broke through in the bottom half with a pair of runs. Zach Sterry walked and came in on a double by Kervin Suarez into the right field corner, and Suarez came home on Tanner Nishioka's RBI single to left.
A solo homer in the top of the eighth by Welfrin Mateo brought in the final run of the evening for the RiverDogs.
Ryan Fitzgerald posted two hits to lead the Greenville offense on Monday.
The series finale at Fluor Field will begin at 7:05 PM on Tuesday. The Drive will look to avoid a series sweep with left-hander Jhonathan Diaz (3-5, 3.71) on the mound.
