Lexington, KY - Saturday's series opening game between the Greenville Drive and the Lexington Legends was dominated by the home team, as the Legends offense got going early and the pitching was strong throughout in a 6-0 victory.

Lexington, KY - Saturday's series opening game between the Greenville Drive and the Lexington Legends was dominated by the home team, as the Legends offense got going early and the pitching was strong throughout in a 6-0 victory.

The Legends (15-16) jumped out to a 4-0 lead over the first three innings. With two outs in the bottom of the first, a single and a walk with two outs preceded an RBI single by Sebastian Rivero off Nick Duron (0-5).
Cal Jones doubled home a run in the second, and he came in on a single by Travis Jones to make the score 3-0. An RBI fielder's choice by Matt Morales in the third pushed across another run.
A pair of homers capped the scoring for Lexington. Rivero smacked a solo shot in the fifth, and Seuly Matias added a blast of his own in the seventh.
Carlos Hernandez (1-1) silenced the Drive (9-26) offense over five innings, as he struck out nine and allowed just one hit. 
Victor Acosta notched two of the Drive's four hits in the game.
The teams will meet again on Sunday afternoon at 2:05 in Lexington. The Drive will give the ball to left-hander Jhonathan Diaz (1-2, 4.78), and the Legends will counter with left-hander Garrett Davila (1-1, 3.77).
