CHAD BELL DROPS JAWS WHILE RENEGADES WIN NAIL-BITER

The Hudson Valley Renegades participated in a narrow back-and-forth game on Saturday where they found a way to come out on top, beating the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 5-4. In total, there were four lead changes in the nine-inning contest.

Chad Bell really showed up in this one, hitting a walk-off home run to send all the Renegades fans screaming joy on their drives back home. He also hit a double in the game. Josh Breaux, Oliver Dunn, Kyle MacDonald, and Pat DeMarco also contributed with multi-hit performances.

Newcomer Anderson Munoz started on the mound for Hudson Valley, but only lasted 2.1 innings while giving up one earned run, three hits, and four strikeouts. Carlos Espinal would come in to throw the final 1.2 innings of shutout ball to get the win (1-0).

The Renegades finished with 13 hits and 5 walks in this back-and-forth battle.

With the week series being led by WIL 3-2, the Renegades will look to tie it up at three tomorrow at 4:05 pm at Dutchess Stadium.
