GADES WALK-OFF TO CAP RALLY AT HOME

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY (May 12, 2021) – The Hudson Valley Renegades scored two in the bottom of the eighth and once in the tenth to beat the Aberdeen IronBirds, 4-3, at Dutchess Stadium on Wednesday night.

Down 3-1 in the eighth, Ezequiel Duran flared a single to right scoring Elvis Peguero and Isaiah Pasteur to tie the game. In the tenth, Pasteur dropped a single to right brought home James Nelson with the winning run. The victory is the first at home for the Gades in 2021 and their record improves to 4-4.

Oswald Peraza accounted for the other Gades run when he hit his first home run in the bottom of the first inning off Aberdeen starter Kyle Brnovitch.

Peguero not only ran and scored a run after walking in the eighth but earned the win, pitching three-and-a-third innings. Luis Perez took the loss for the IronBirds.
