Golden Glove and Silver Sluggers Awards and Ex-Renegades
The Gold Glove Awards are given annually for the best individual fielding performances at each position in the National and American Leagues, as voted by managers and coaches. The 2011 season marked the 56th year of the Gold Glove Awards. The first were awarded in 1957 to one player at each position from both leagues, and then expanded the next year to include lineups of nine players, one from each league.
Ex-Renegades Evan Longoria is the only player in Renegades history to acquire not only one but two Golden Gloves, 2009 and 2010. Longoria not only had the stats to backup both Golden Gloves (a fielding percentage of .970 in 2009 and .966 in 2010) but more importantly he knows the game and always seemed to be in the right position regardless of whether or not he was involved in the play.

Longoria missed his third Golden Glove in 2011 but I know there are more Golden Gloves in this young ballplayers future.

On November 10th MLB will announce the 2011 Silver Slugger Award winners. Just like the Golden Glove the Silver Slugger Award is given out every season to the top batters at each position in both leagues. Two ex-Renegades have been able to lay claim to the best slugger at their position: Hamilton and Longoria.
Hamilton won the award in 2008 and 2010. In 2008 he recorded an impressive .304 batting average with 32 homeruns, 35 doubles with 130 RBI (second in the league). In 2010 Hamilton led the league with his outstanding .359 batting average, slugged 32 homeruns, 40 doubles and 100 RBI.

Longoria added to his postseason awards in 2009 with a Silver Slugger Award. In just his second season of Major League baseball Longoria accumulated a .281 batting average with 33 homeruns, 44 doubles and 113 RBI on the season.
