INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Indians front office is expanding, with two recent hires joining Minor League Baseball’s total attendance leader over the past 10 seasons combined. Both hires, one who interned for the club in 2020, round out the organization’s stadium operations department.

Mike Craven joined the Indians as director of stadium operations in mid-March. His career path to Indy includes a five-year run from 2014-18 with the West Michigan Whitecaps in the Midwest League, the final four years spent as the team’s operations manager. He then took his talents to the Southern League with the Birmingham Barons, where he was the director of stadium operations from Jan. 2019 to this past March. Craven, a Michigan native, played baseball at Aquinas College (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in business administration/sport management in 2013.

Kim Duplak rejoined the Indians in mid-March as well, coming on in a full-time capacity as the organization’s stadium operations coordinator. She interned with the team last summer as a stadium operations assistant and helped maintain Victory Field’s pristine status even with the 2020 minor league season being canceled. In 2019, she served as a promotions and event management intern with the Asheville Tourists in the South Atlantic League. Duplak graduated with her bachelor’s degree in sport management in Aug. 2019 from Western Carolina (Cullowhee, N.C.) University, where she was also a game day operations intern and marketing assistant for the WCU Athletic Department.

Prospects Nights and Daily Deals highlight the May 11-16 homestand, and single-game tickets are still available. 2021 season tickets, mini plans and flex plans come with priority seating access.
