Indians Hammer Seven Extra-Base Hits, Win 6-2

TOLEDO, OHIO -Christian Kelley doubled and tripled while Pablo Reyes and Ke'Bryan Hayes smacked long home runs to propel the Indians to a 6-2 win over the Mud Hens on Sunday. Dario Agrazal allowed just two runs over 7.0 innings to earn the victory.

Agrazal (W, 4-2) gave the Indians a much-needed boost on the bump on the heels of Saturday's doubleheader. The 24-year-old's outing began with a hit batter and infield single, but a fielder's choice and outfield assist from JB Shuck in right to complete a double play kept the Mud Hens (26-35) off the scoreboard.
The Tribe righty settled in from that point forward, posting 1-2-3 innings in four of his next five frames before surrendering a two-out homer to Kody Eaves in the seventh with the Indians already up 6-0. He yielded four hits and one walk with three punchouts.
Kelley's third career triple opened the third inning and led to a Nick Franklin sacrifice fly that put Indianapolis (35-26) on top 1-0. The run began a stretch of five consecutive innings where the Indians scored at least once.
Reyes' home run came in the fourth, a 428-foot, two-run shot to left. Kevin Kramer was along for the ride after drawing a leadoff walk against Spenser Watkins (L, 5-2).
Hayes flashed his Gold Glove defense to end the fourth, snagging a high line drive at the hot corner off the bat of Dustin Peterson. He then showed his upside at the dish with a home run to left-center in the fifth that pushed the Tribe advantage to 4-0.
Jake Elmore and Kelley collected two-out doubles in the sixth off John Schreiber to extend the lead to five, and Kramer completed Indy's six-run effort with an RBI double in the seventh.
Dovydas Neverauskas recorded two outs in the eighth before handing over to Jake Brentz (S, 6) who retired each of the four batters he faced.
Hayes, Kramer, Elmore and Kelley notched two-hit performances. Seven of Indy's 11 hits went for extra bases.
The Indians begin a six-game homestand on Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. ET. The Tribe welcome Buffalo and Pawtucket - two IL North foes - to the Circle City.
