DES MOINES, IA – Buckle up Des Moines, Banana Ball is coming back. The wildly popular Savannah Bananas are making an encore trip to the capital city in 2024, returning to Principal Park on September 6, 7, and 8. After quickly selling out two dates this year and becoming the hottest ticket in town, the TikTok darling have added an additional date to accommodate their growing fanbase.

“Des Moines went bananas over the Savannah Bananas back in August at Principal Park and we can’t wait to bring their one-of-a-kind brand of baseball back next year,” said Catch Des Moines President and CEO, Greg Edwards.

“Everyone associated with the Bananas commented on how they loved Des Moines and the energy and enthusiasm that the fans brought to the stadium. It’s a real testament to what a passionate fan base we have here when these types of events fall in love with our city and want to make return visits.”

The Bananas will once again take on their rivals, The Party Animals, for three straight games. Games on Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7 will be played at 7 p.m. and the game on Sunday, September 8 will start at 1 p.m.

Tickets are not on sale yet, but fans can sign up to get presale alerts. All General Admission tickets will be sold through the Savannah Bananas at the price of $35 per ticket, while premium seating opportunities will be sold via the Iowa Cubs.

“We welcomed many new smiling faces to Principal Park for their two games this year and look forward to seeing even more fans attend three Savannah Bananas games next season,” said Iowa Cubs President and General Manager, Sam Bernabe.

The Savannah Bananas have their own version of baseball that they call Banana Ball which includes on-field antics like choreographed dances, crazy rules (if a fan catches a foul bout, it counts as an out), crowd participation skits, and fun props.
