Unique feature

Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A:
Not only is Cheney Stadium the oldest ballpark at Triple-A, but parts of it date back far beyond its 1960 opening. As part of a rapid construction that took just three months and 14 days, the park utilized light towers and wooden grandstand seats from San Francisco's Seals Stadium. While the park underwent renovations in 2011, the original grandstand is still the centerpiece of the facility. Read more »

Historical landmark

Everett AquaSox, High-A:
Take a stroll around Funko Field, beyond left field and you'll find the landing spot of Ken Griffey Jr.'s first professional home run. On June 17, 1987, the then-17-year-old went the other way for an approximated 387 feet in his second Minor League game with the visiting Bellingham Mariners. Griffey Jr. went on to hit a total of 643 homers across the Majors and Minors, but only one place is home to his first. Read more »

Arkansas Travelers, Double-A:
Many Minor League parks are known for unique concoctions at the concession stands. But at Dickey-Stephens Park, fans can create their own masterpieces. At the aptly named "Fielder's Choice," guests can treat themselves to the build-your-own nacho bar, including options of unlimited toppings. And the choices don't stop there. Hot dog lovers can try one of the Travelers' specialty dogs -- like the Seattle Dog and the Chicago Dog -- or create their own fabulous frank. Read more »

Modesto Nuts, Single-A:
Do you like being nostalgic about nostalgia? Then be sure to plan your trip to John Thurman Field for early June to experience the "American Graffiti" Festival, a classic car show and parade that pays homage to George Lucas' revered 1973 film set in Modesto.
