MANCHESTER, NH - Continuing to ride the wave of Cat Chat, RJ Schreck (TOR No. 27, MLB.com) joins Chris Jared this week to talk about RJ's journey from Harvard-Westlake to Duke to Vanderbilt, draft day theatrics, trade deadline madness, golf swinging motions to a baseball swing and more!

Seattle selected Schreck in the 9th Round of the 2023 MLB Draft after four years at Duke and a grad year with Vanderbilt Along with last week's Cat Chat guest, Mr. Charles McAdoo, RJ found himself faced with the news that he was dealt from the organization that drafted him. In RJ's case, the Mariners traded for Toronto's Justin Turner on July 29, 2024, one day ahead of the McAdoo/Isiah Kiner-Falefa/cash trade.

RJ sported an .865 OPS with the Everett AquaSox in the Northwest League in early 2024, prior to promotion to the Arkansas Travelers. Schreck played in eight games with the Travs before being shipped to New Hampshire, where he joined the Fisher Cats in the middle of a road trip to Binghamton. Schreck knocked a pair of doubles in his first game with the Fisher Cats on August 2 to begin a seven-game hit streak and reached base safely in 14 of his first 15 games with New Hampshire.
