MANCHESTER, NH - Opening Day 2025 in Manchester felt a little bit closer when the Toronto Blue Jays released the full Fisher Cats coaching staff for the 2025 season on Thursday, February 13. Brent Lavallee is the newest of the now 12 Fisher Cats managers to roam the top step since the team played their first season at Gill Stadium in 2004.
On the fourth episode of Cat Chat, Lavallee and Chris Jared talk about Brent's days in Vancouver, EARLY takeaways from Dunedin, what to expect in 2025 and more!
Lavallee takes the place of Cesar Martin, who continues up the Blue Jays instructional ladder to the role of bench coach in Triple-A Buffalo. Between Martin, Bisons manager Casey Candaele, John Schneider and more, Lavallee tipped his cap to some of the fellow leaders within Toronto's Minor League ranks that helped shape him, and continue to shape him, into the leader he is and inspires to be.
After Vancouver fell in the 2024 Northwest League Finals, Lavallee received recognition as the league's Manager of the Year, with the Canadiens showing face in the final series all three years Lavallee led the club.
