MEMPHIS, Tn --- The Norfolk Tides (2-3) fell to the Memphis Redbirds (5-0), 4-3, in 10 innings at AutoZone Park. In a back-and-forth game, Norfolk couldn't keep up in an extra-innings pitcher's duel.

Jackson Holliday continued to heat up as he continued his MLB Rehab. He went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk. It was his second straight game with a double, and both doubles went into the left field corner.

Brandon Young made his first start of 2026 for Norfolk. He went 5.0 innings, allowing one run on five hits and no walks while striking out four. He threw 57 pitches, 38 for strikes.

Trailing 2-1 in the seventh, Creed Willems blasted his first career Triple-A home run and extended his hitting streak to four games. It was a two-run homer to give the Tides a 3-2 lead. However, Memphis got a game-tying home run from Jimmy Crooks in the eighth inning to force extras.

After the Tides couldn't score in the 10th, Memphis managed to win on a bases-load walk-off hit-by-pitch in a 4-3 loss for Norfolk. Game three of the series is tomorrow night, with first pitch at 7:45 pm.
