Dodgers Drop Sunday Game to El Paso, 4-2

Oklahoma City - A two-run double by Diego Goris in the sixth inning gave the El Paso Chihuahuas the lead, while the Oklahoma City Dodgers were held without a run after the second inning, in Oklahoma City's 4-2 loss Sunday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
With the defeat, the Dodgers lost a third straight game and were held to two runs or less for the third straight time as El Paso took a 3-0 lead in the series between the teams during ¡Celebración Cielo Azul!

The Dodgers (57-47) escaped an early jam Sunday, then took the game's first lead for the fifth straight night.
Dodgers starting pitcher Daniel Corcino walked the bases full with none out to lead off the first inning, but escaped the jam with two strikeouts and a flyout.
With one out in the bottom of the first inning, Edwin Ríos homered out to left field to put the Dodgers in front, 1-0. The home run was his seventh homer of the season and second in four games.
The Chihuahuas (58-48) tied the game, 1-1, in their next at-bat on a RBI single by Forrestt Allday.
Oklahoma City then regained the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the second inning on a RBI double by Tim Locastro that scored Angelo Mora. Locastro and Mora each finished the night with two hits apiece as the Dodgers outhit the Chihuahuas, 9-7.
El Paso scored three runs in the sixth inning to take the lead for good.
Dusty Coleman lined a two-out RBI single into left field in the sixth inning to tie the game, 2-2. Pinch-hitter Goris followed and hit a fly ball to the warning track in right field that hit off Kyle Garlick's glove and landed for a double, allowing two runs to score for a 4-2 El Paso lead.
In the eighth inning with Andrew Toles on base, Garlick hit a deep fly ball to the wall in left field that El Paso's Shane Peterson caught at the back of the warning track to keep El Paso in the lead in the eighth inning.
El Paso starting pitcher Dillon Overton (4-2) was credited with the win, allowing two runs and eight hits over 5.0 innings. He did not issue a walk and had three strikeouts.
The Chihuahuas did not allow a run after the second inning and the El Paso bullpen held the Dodgers to one hit over the final four frames, capped by Rowan Wick, who picked up his first save with El Paso.
Corcino went on to allow just one run and two hits over 5.0 innings for Oklahoma City. He issued four walks and recorded five strikeouts.
Dodgers reliever Adam Liberatore (2-2) pitched two-third of the sixth inning and was charged with the loss, allowing the game-winning runs.
¡Celebración Cielo Azul! concludes with a 7:05 p.m. game Monday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in the series finale between Oklahoma City and El Paso.
