Potomac Nationals Unveil 2018 Schedule

Woodbridge, VA---The Potomac Nationals are excited to announce their 2018 Carolina League regular season schedule, the 41st season in Potomac Baseball franchise history.
The 2018 schedule features 70 games at The Pfitz and 70 games split between the nine other Carolina League ballparks, stretching from Wilmington, DE down to Myrtle Beach, SC.

The P-Nats will open up the season at home for the first time since 2015, in search of the club's sixth Carolina League Championship. Pfitzner Stadium will play host to the season opener between the P-Nats and Wilmington Blue Rocks (Kansas City Royals) on Thursday, April 5th. It will be the third consecutive season in which Potomac and Wilmington will kick off the season. After four games with the Blue Rocks, the P-Nats will wrap up a seven-game homestand with three games against the 2017 Carolina League Co-Champion Down East Wood Ducks (Texas Rangers). The second homestand of the season, which will start on Thursday, April 19th, will see the P-Nats host the other 2017 Carolina League Co-Champion in the Lynchburg Hillcats (Cleveland Indians).
The 70-game road slate is set to begin in Frederick, MD on Thursday, April 12th. The P-Nats and Frederick Keys (Baltimore Orioles) will play for four days, while Potomac will conclude the road trip with a visit to Salem, VA to face off in a set with the Salem Red Sox (Boston Red Sox).
With just 11 home games in each month, April and June sandwich the heaviest home slate of the season. In between the two, Potomac will host a season-high 17 games in May. Pfitzner Stadium will entertain fans for 15 Carolina League games in July and 16 in August, while the P-Nats will play their only regular season games in September on the road.

Buies Creek Astros (Houston Astros): 7 at home, 3 on the road
Carolina Mudcats (Milwaukee Brewers): 3 at home, 3 on the road
Down East Wood Ducks (Texas Rangers): 3 at home, 5 on the road
Frederick Keys (Baltimore Orioles): 14 at home, 11 on the road
Lynchburg Hillcats (Cleveland Indians): 7 at home, 16 on the road
Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Chicago Cubs): 6 at home, 7 on the road
Salem Red Sox (Boston Red Sox): 11 at home, 12 on the road
Wilmington Blue Rocks (Kansas City Royals): 15 at home, 10 on the road
Winston-Salem Dash (Chicago White Sox): 4 at home, 3 on the road
