RailRiders Baseball? There's An App For That

Team Launches New iPhone & Android App
May 13, 2013

Moosic, Pa. - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) have launched an exciting new way for fans to follow NEPA's hometown team on the go. The RailRiders have rolled out their brand new free and fun app which is available for download in Apple's App Store or on Google Play by searching for the team name.

"We want our guests to be able to follow the team anytime, anywhere," said RailRiders president and general manager Rob Crain. "Not only does this app accomplish that, but it allows everyone that loves the RailRiders to remain interactive whether they're at the game, on the go, at home or at work."

This free app gives everyone the inside story on the RailRiders. Fans can check out upcoming promotions, giveaways, and events. If you are at the game, connect with fellow fans by checking in and letting everyone know you are at the game. The app also gives users instant access to the RailRiders' Facebook page, Twitter feed, YouTube channel, and team store.

The news wall updates with every post on swbrailriders.com, so fans will always be in the know. Track your favorite SWB player's stats, league leaders, and standings. The app also gives fans the ability to follow every roster move, as well as in-game updates via the team's social media sites.

In addition to the app, fans can follow the RailRiders by liking their Facebook page or by following on Twitter and Instagram @swbrailriders.

The RailRiders conclude an eight-game homestand tonight at 6:35 p.m. with their final match-up of the regular season against the Gwinnett Braves (Atlanta). Fans will be able to dine on just a few dimes with dollar hot dogs all night long at PNC Field. Also, rehabbing big leaguer Curtis Granderson is expected to be in the starting lineup. Great ticket packages, group deals and single-game tickets are available. With no upper deck at PNC Field anymore, every seat in the ballpark provides the supreme views and intimacy that make minor league baseball so special at incredibly affordable prices.
