Rancho Cucamonga, CA – The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes clinched their first series-win since early-June, as they defeated the Fresno Grizzlies on Saturday night, by a final of 10-5 at LoanMart Field.

The come-from-behind victory gives the Quakes four of five in the current series and gives them a shot at five of six against Fresno, with a potential victory in Sunday’s finale.

Dodgers’ rehabbing lefty Andrew Heaney made his first appearance with the Quakes and worked into the third inning, but left with the Quakes trailing 4-3, as Fresno’s Juan Brito and Ben Sims both went deep.

Trailing 4-3 in the last of the third, Rancho went to work and took the lead for good, as Julio Carrion blasted his tenth homer of the year, a three-run shot to make it a 6-4 game against Fresno starter Victor Juarez (4-3).

Yunior Garcia’s third double of the night, a three-run two-bagger down the left-field line, capped a four-run sixth to make it 10-4.

Carlos De Los Santos (4-0), Peter Heubeck and Ronan Kopp combined to throw 6.1 innings without allowing an earned run, with Kopp earning his first career save.

Austin Gauthier (6) led off the game with a home run and finished with three more walks, adding to his league-leading total, which now stands at 76.

The Quakes (10-10, 46-40) have now won three straight and five of their last six overall. On Sunday, they’ll send Maddux Bruns (0-2) to the mound against Fresno’s Jarrod Cande (3-2), with game time set for 5pm. Kids will run the bases after the game, to cap the series finale.
