River Cats to Give Away Five Garden Gnomes in 2014

RIVER CATS TO GIVE AWAY FIVE GARDEN GNOMES IN 2014

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - In keeping with the team's "Home Grown" theme for the upcoming 2014 season, the Sacramento River Cats will give away five garden gnomes of former River Cats players, as decided by a fan vote.

The "Home Grown" theme for the 2014 season highlights the pride that River Cats fans take in the team's contribution to developing championship-caliber players as a part of the Oakland Athletics organization.

To guarantee receipt of the entire garden gnome giveaway set, fans are encouraged to purchase a Super Pack which also includes a ticket to Opening Day, the July 3 Independence Day Celebration, Mother's Day, Father's Day and 10 fireworks shows. If purchased separately, these tickets would cost $521, while the Super Pack costs only $225 per seat.

Voting will take place online at www.rivercats.com in February, where River Cats fans will have the opportunity to decide which five former River Cats players will be turned into gnomes. A year ago, River Cats fans voted on the team's bobblefield giveaway-a nine-part bobblehead series featuring the best former River Cats at each position.
