Things tightened on Rome reliever RHP
Still clinging to a 4-3 advantage in the 9th inning Kalich made quick work of the Columbia offense. He struck out the side in order, ending the game and giving Rome a series victory. It earned Kalich his first save of the season and got Shetter a win.
Woods threw 4 innings and allowed one run on one hit. He struck out five and walked three. Shetter went 3.2 innings and surrendered two runs, both unearned, on three hits. He had three strikeouts and walked one. Kalich retired all four batters he faced.
Langeliers finished 4-4 with an RBI. It was his second four hit game in the last week. Ball was 2-3 with a homer and a walk. Owenby went 2-2 with two walks and an RBI.
