Position Overview:
The Marketing and Promotions Manager will lead, oversee and directly engage marketing efforts for the team in both the local and regional community. The manager is directly responsible for translating revenue generation objectives into marketing objectives, strategies, and plans.
Essential Job Functions:
- Development and implement the team’s overall marketing plan.
- Driving consumer awareness, engagement and interest in all things related to the team in the community by directly engaging in social media marketing duties.
- Develop local and grassroots marketing plan to drive event awareness and attendance by directly handling all community relations.
- Work with sales management to create premium and unique inventory options to drive revenue by directly creating collateral.
- Establish and leverage promotional partnerships to drive greater awareness and engagement by directly managing all promotions.
- Acts as our creative team to develop the team’s look, image and brand identity.
- Manages and engages in day-to-day activities with PR/ press in coordination with staff.
- Manages the team’s marketing and communications budget including promotions and seasonal labor.
- Manages all marketing suppliers, including media partners.
- Handles the direct duties for creative services, promotions, and sponsorship fulfillment.
- Assists with identifying and targeting market segregation and data analytics of business in local area to build sales database and create leads for staff.
- Recruit and train staff as assigned in season.
- Works closely with all departments in a small team, and understands he or she must engage in duties outside of marketing to help the team operationally perform.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have 3-4 years experience working in marketing and promotions in baseball preferably or for a professional sport's team.
- Candidate must have in game promotions experience above and beyond being a member of the promotion's crew in games.
- Candidate MUST have graphic skills (PHOTOSHOP).
- Candidate must want to be hands on, as this is a small team environment, where he or she may manage an intern and game staff, but for the most part will be handling the marketing department and all duties alone.
- Candidate must be willing to work community events and all baseball games.
