Durham, NC. (August 11, 2018) - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders lost 10-9 to the Durham Bulls at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Saturday evening. After the RailRiders rallied from four down to take the lead in the top of the ninth, Austin Meadows second two-run home run of the night gave the Bulls their second straight walk-off win this series.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre opened the scoring three batters into the game. Ryan McBroom singled in Mark Payton for the 1-0 early edge.
Chance Adams struggled in the bottom of the first but escaped without allowing a run. After walking the first two batters and allowing a single to load the bases, Adams struck out Brandon Snyder and Nate Lowe before getting Rob Refsnyder to fly out to end the inning.
Durham, however, took a 4-1 lead in the third on two home runs and a run-scoring double. Meadows hit a two-run home run own the right-field line off Adams for a 2-1 Bulls lead. With two outs, Refsnyder hit solo home run and Jason Coats two-base hit drove in Nick Cuiffo for the three-run edge.
The Bulls added three runs against Adams in the fifth inning on four hits to build a 7-3 lead.
The RailRiders cut one run off the lead in the sixth when Mike Ford doubled and scored on a single by Giovanny Urshela. Durham got the run back in the bottom of the seventh on a RBI triple by Micah Johnson.
In the bottom of the ninth, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre loaded the bases with two outs. Andrew Kittredge, the third pitcher of the inning, allowed a two-run single to Abiatal Avelino to cut the lead to 8-6. McBroom launched an 0-1 pitch to deep left-center, plating Payton and Avelino for a 9-8 lead.
In the bottom of the ninth with the tying run at third, Meadows lined an 0-2 pitch from Cale Coshow over the right field wall for the win. Meadows finished the night 4-for-6 with four runs batted in.
Andrew Kittredge (6-0) was charged with the blown save and notched the win while Coshow (1-3) took the loss.
Ford led the RailRiders with three hits, including two doubles, and two runs scored. Payton, McBroom and Francisco Diaz added two hits apiece for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, which dropped its second straight and is now 2-3 on their current six-game road trip.
The RailRiders and Bulls finish their season series on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre will start RHP Mike King (0-0, 1.29), while Durham has not yet announced a starting pitcher. The RailRiders return to PNC Field on Monday for a seven-game homestand against Indianapolis and Norfolk.
