The Somerset Patriots came back from a 7-0 deficit, pouring 11 unanswered runs on the Portland Sea Dogs to take the third of six games between the Eastern League rivals by a score of 11-7 at TD Bank Ballpark on Thursday night.

Somerset’s late-inning offensive explosion was backed by 5.1 combined scoreless innings of relief from Steven Jennings, Justin Wilson, and Tanner Myatt.

The seven-run comeback victory was the largest deficit the Patriots have overcome in the team’s Double-A era.

The Patriots worked 10 walks in the ballgame, their most since 5/12 @ Portland.

RHP Gray Fenter (3.2 IP, 7 R, 8 H, 5 K) took the no-decision.

3B Tyler Hardman (1-for-3, HR, 4 RBI) clubbed a go-ahead grand slam in the 7th inning for his ninth home run of the year. Hardman’s 9 HR on the season lead the Patriots and are tied for the sixth most in the Eastern League. The grand slam marked the first in the career of Hardman, and the fourth by a Patriot this season.

CF Jasson Dominguez (1-for-4, HR, 3 RBI, 2 R) extended the Patriots lead to 11-7 with a three-run blast in the 8th inning, his eighth homer of the season. The Yankees top prospect has now homered in each of Somerset’s last eight series of the season, spanning back to his first homer of the season on 4/18 vs. New Hampshire. Dominguez took sole procession of the team lead in RBI with 27, tied for 5th in the Eastern League. Dominguez’s eight multi-RBI games lead the Patriots.
