Marvel-Themed Games Announced For 2023
Bridgewater, New Jersey – The Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate, have announced that the team will host three Marvel-themed games at TD Bank Ballpark during the 2023 season.
Bridgewater, New Jersey – The Somerset Patriots, the New York Yankees Double-A affiliate, have announced that the team will host three Marvel-themed games at TD Bank Ballpark during the 2023 season.
Through a ground-breaking partnership between Minor League Baseball and Marvel Entertainment, the Patriots will host the events to entertain baseball and comic book fans at the ballpark.
Marvel’s Defenders of the Diamond Night will take place on Friday, June 23 for the 7:05 pm game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays). The event will include a character appearance where fans will be able to meet and take pictures with Captain America on the main concourse throughout the game.
Sunday, July 9 will be Marvel Super Hero Night featuring a character appearance by Black Panther. Fans will be able to meet the King of Wakanda on the main concourse throughout the 1:05 pm game versus the Reading Fightin Phils (Philadelphia Phillies). The game is presented by the Greater Somerset County YMCA.
Marvel Super Hero Night featuring a character appearance by Spider-Man will take place on Saturday, August 12 for the 7:05 pm game against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets). Everyone’s favorite web slinger will be on the main concourse for pictures and to meet fans during the Double-A Subway Series. The game is presented by RWJBarnabas Health.
At all three games, Patriots players and coaches will be wearing brand new custom jerseys and hats with the team’s alternate logo created by Marvel artists.
In addition, there will be several themed contests, activities, promotions and more for comic book fans of all ages. More information will be announced leading into each of the Marvel-themed games.
