Princeton Men’s Basketball Coach Mitch Henderson and Women’s Basketball Coach Carla Berube will throw out ceremonial first pitches prior to the start of the game and will be recognized for their programs’ success during the 2022-2023 season.

Henderson, a two-time NABC District 13 Coach of the Year (2022, 2017), led Princeton to the Sweet Sixteen in 2022-23, becoming just the fourth No. 15 seed in history to do so, along with the Ivy Tournament and Ivy Regular Season Championships. With Henderson leading the way, the Tigers defeated a pair of nationally-ranked opponents (No. 8 Arizona & No. 23 Missouri), became the 11th No. 15 seed to beat a No. 2 seed after taking down Arizona 58-55 in the NCAA Tournament Round of 64, and earned the largest ever margin of victory for a No. 15 seed thanks to a 78-63 victory over Mizzou in the Round of 32. In 2022-23, Henderson recorded his 200th career victory as a head coach became just the eighth men’s basketball head coach to record 100 Ivy League victories.

Going into her fifth season with Princeton in 2023-2024, Berube has led the program to back-to-back NCAA second round appearances (2021, 2022). As Princeton’s head coach, she has a 75-12 (.862) record, including 40-2 (.952) in conference play. During her first season in 2019, Berube compiled a 29-1 record and was a perfect 14-0 in Ivy League play to be named the Ivy League Coach of the Year. Berube has led Princeton to three Ivy League titles, two Ivy League Tournament crowns as well. Princeton also became the first Ivy League team, men or women, to win consecutive NCAA games since 2014.

Both coaches will also go on air for an inning with Patriots play-by-play broadcaster Steven Cusumano.
