RHP Bailey Dees (5 IP, 3 R, 6 H, 2 BB, 6 K) took a no-decision in his ninth start of the season. SS Ben Cowles (1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI, R, 2 BB) lifted his 4th homer of the season, a two-run blast, to give Somerset a 3-0 lead in the 1st. Cowles has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games. The Yankees No. 29 prospect leads the Eastern League with a .329 average on the season. Friday marked Cowles’s 7th multi-RBI game of the season.
DH Jasson Dominguez (2-for-5) had his first hit on MLB rehab assignment with Somerset as part of a two-hit night in his third rehab game with the Patriots.
