Bartolo Colon, nicknamed “Big Sexy,” had a 21-year MLB career playing for 11 different teams including the Cleveland Guardians (1997-2002), Montreal Expos (2002), Chicago White Sox (2003,2009), Los Angeles Angels (2004-2007), Boston Red Sox (2008), New York Yankees (2011), Oakland Athletics (2012-2013), New York Mets (2014-2016), Atlanta Braves (2017), Minnesota Twins (2017) and the Texas Rangers (2018).
He won the AL Cy Young Award with the Angels in 2005 and was selected to four MLB All-Star Games.
With the Mets in 2016, he became the oldest player to hit his first career home run at 42 years and 349 days old.
Colon finished his MLB career with a 247-188 record, a 4.12 ERA and 2,535 strikeouts in 565 games played. He holds the record for most wins by a Latin American-born pitcher.
There will be two special options available to pre-purchase for the appearance. Fans will be able to either take a picture with Bartolo Colon or get an autographed item (provided by the ticketholder).
Fans will be able to purchase a photo op with Bartolo Colon for $50 (ticket for the game included).
Anyone who wishes to get their picture with Bartolo Colon must have their own photo ticket. For example, if a family of four wants to get a picture with him, all four people must have a photo ticket.
Fans will be able to purchase a Bartolo Colon autograph for $50 (ticket for the game included).
An autograph ticket entitles each ticket holder one (1) autograph from Bartolo Colon. The item is provided by the ticket holder.
Pre-Purchased Photo And Autograph Tickets Procedure:
- For pre-purchased photo and autograph tickets, fans will check in at the table located on the main concourse at section 202 when gates open at 5:30 pm to receive their wristband for the event.
- Different colored wristbands will be distributed for each package at the communicated time for the event.
- Wristbands are on a first come, first served basis and limited to the number of purchased packages.
- Once they receive a wristband, fans can enjoy the game until their wristband color is called over the PA system or shown on the scoreboard.
- When their color is called, fans can get on line for their picture or autograph. Bartolo Colon will only be accommodating what was purchased by the fan (i.e. only a photo OR an autograph. NOT both.)
- Once fans receive their picture or autograph, their wristband will be removed and they can go to their seats to enjoy the game.
