The Toledo Mud Hens will begin the 2018 campaign with a mix of new prospects and familiar faces. The roster includes players from four different countries (USA-18, Dominican Republic-4, Canada-2, Venezuela-1), and twelve with previous playing time in Toledo. Manager (and Toledo native) Doug Mientkiewicz is in his first season with the team.
Mientkiewicz's coaching coaching staff includes Brian Harper, who returns for a second season as Mud Hens hitting coach, pitching coach Jeff Pico and third base coach Basilio Cabrera, both entering their third year with Toledo. Athletic trainer Chris McDonald returns for his fifth season and Jeff Mathers joins as strength and conditioning coach.
