As we welcome you back to Fifth Third Field, know that we are committed to providing a safe and clean environment for you and your family. We want your game day experience to be the best ever.

Our team has been planning your return and has implemented new health and safety policies for the 2021 season. Every fan plays an integral role in keeping Fifth Third Field a safe environment to enjoy Mud Hens baseball.

Please take a moment to read our new Health and Safety Guidelines mandated by Major League Baseball and the Ohio Department of Health.

Key Takeaways

  • Guests must stay physically distanced at six feet when entering and exiting the ballpark.
  • Guests will be assigned a specific entry gate, listed on your ticket.
  • Guests may go through low-contact security screening.
  • To ensure the entry process runs smoothly, all fans must read and consent to the Mud Hens Fan Health Promise before reserving tickets and entering Fifth Third Field.

NEW: Bag restrictions will be in place for 2021.

  • Only small clutches, diaper and medical bags will be permitted into Fifth Third Field.
  • Small clutch bags, with or without a handle or strap, should not exceed 4.5" x 8". Small clutch bags allow privacy for small personal items.
  • While bags entering Fifth Third Field pose no risk to transmission of COVID-19, our updated bag policy is meant to reduce the time it takes for fans to enter the ballpark and to eliminate close personal contact with our staff members performing bag checks.
  • Guests will be asked to return all non-permitted items back to their vehicles.
  • MLB is currently not allowing any fan or employee to participate in any on-field promotions. Contests and other fan experiences will currently take place at our Fan Experience Zone above Section 101 or in other designated parts of the ballpark.
  • Guests are required to maintain a physical distance of six feet.
  • All attendees age two years and older must wear a face covering over their nose and mouth at all times on ballpark property other than when actively eating or drinking at their ticketed seats.
  • Face shields, neck gaiters, bandanas, and masks with valves or vents are not recommended.
  • Signage will guide guests throughout the ballpark at entrances/exits, concession stands, and Swamp Shop.
  • One-way traffic patterns will be in place to reduce exposure to others.
  • A limited number of shoppers will be permitted inside at one time, and a staff member will monitor it.
  • Floor markings and signage will help guests stay physically distanced.
  • Masks must be worn in the Swamp Shop.
  • Physical distancing will be enforced at all Box Office locations.
  • All staff members will wear appropriate PPE and Swamp Shop employees and ticket sellers will work behind plexiglass dividers.
  • We recommend using our digital ticketing platform and purchasing tickets in advance.
  • MLB safety protocols currently prohibit players from signing fan autographs or throwing baseballs or other items into the seating bowl.
  • Physical distancing in lines will be enforced and signage will provide reminders to guests.
  • Staff will wear masks at all times and be separated from guests by plexiglass dividers.
  • Guests may only eat and drink in their seating area. Food and beverages cannot be consumed on the concourse or other areas. This ensures guests can safely remove their masks.
  • Food and beverage items will be individually packaged, including condiments.
  • Dedicated staff will maintain the cleaning and sanitation of the ballpark.
  • All cleaning products will be CDC approved.
  • The frequency of cleaning restrooms, concessions, and other high traffic areas will increase during and after each event.
