The TinCaps jumped on the lead in the second inning as Graham Pauley and Carlos Luis added back-to-back solo homers to take the 2-0 lead. Fort Wayne extended their lead in the third inning as Nathan Martorella collected a two-run home run before Luis added an RBI single, extending the advantage to 5-0.
