The Wichita Wind Surge are on the search for the first ever “Voice of the Wind Surge”, as they host auditions for a Public Address Announcer for the 2021 season. The team is looking for an individual confident with public speaking and working in a high-pressured environment, who possess excellent reading skills and knows the basics of the game of baseball.
Interested candidates are invited to send their resume/work experience and YouTube links to samples(if you have them) to [email protected] for an audition time for the team’s Saturday, March 27th auditions, which will be held in-person at Riverfront Stadium. During the auditions, each candidate will be required to read scripts, announce batters, and perform other tasks typical of a PA Announcer.
To be considered, candidates must be over the age of 18, and able to work the entirety of the 2021 season (60 home games).
Only individuals who send resume and recent examples will be considered for the tryout process. Qualified candidates will be contacted no later than 3/22 with their audition time and more details.
