Plenty Of New And Exciting Food Options Available At Frawley Stadium In 2015
Wilmington, DE - Baseball is America's favorite pastime, and one of the country's favorite pastimes while attending a game is enjoying delicious food at the ballpark. During the 2015 season, the Wilmington Blue Rocks will offer their fans no shortage of options in this department. The Blue Rocks are unveiling the Doughnut Dog in 2015 as well as new partnerships with The Green Turtle and Roasty Toasty. Also back this year are Grotto Pizza, Chickie's and Pete's, Chick-fil-a, and Uncle Mike's Italian Water Ice.
The Rocks' Doughnut Dog has drawn plenty of publicity during the offseason--even trending on Twitter at one point--but for those who still have not heard of it here is your scouting report. It is a hotdog served inside of a glazed doughnut bun. If that doesn't get your taste buds going there is also "The Sweenie," one of America's first sweet weenies. This is a hotdog inside a glazed doughnut bun drizzled with bacon and raspberry jam.
For those looking for a little more traditional fare the Rocks are excited to welcome The Green Turtle inside Frawley Stadium in 2015. The Green Turtle will serve gourmet burgers, a delicious grilled chicken sandwich and mouthwatering appetizers including fried pickle spears.
"Green Turtle has great food so their addition to our lineup is a wonderful thing for Blue Rocks fans this season," said Josh Attix, General Manager of Centerplate, the official food provider of Frawley Stadium. "This partnership allows us to broaden our menu with the assorted items they will be serving. Fans are going to really enjoy their presence at Frawley this year."
Roasty Toasty will also be debuting at Frawley Stadium in 2015. The new site offers fans the delectable choice between roasted corn on the cob and grilled cheese sandwiches.
"Roasty Toasty is excited to be a part of the energetic atmosphere that surrounds the Wilmington Blue Rocks and Frawley Stadium," said Denise McCollum. "We will be making our debut at the Home opener on April 16 and cannot wait to start serving Blue Rocks fans our delicious roasted corn on the cob and our unique choices of Grilled Cheese sandwiches."
Returning in 2015 are Grotto Pizza, a Delaware tradition, Chickie's and Pete's and their world-famous crab fries, Chick-fil-a and their delectable chicken sandwiches, and Uncle Mike's refreshing Italian Water Ice.
