SATURDAY'S BLUE ROCKS GAMES POSTPONED

Rocks and Dash to Play a Doubleheader on Sunday
June 20, 2009
Wilmington, DE - Thanks to the unrelenting rain, which will not leave the Delaware area alone, the Wilmington Blue Rocks have postponed their scheduled 5:05 p.m. doubleheader with the Winston-Salem Dash.

The Rocks and Dash will make-up the contest as part of a doubleheader on Sunday, with first pitch slated for 1:05 p.m.

Wilmington will send Mario Santiago (1-4, 6.36) to the hill in the opener, and Rowdy Hardy (1-0, 2.86) will get the start in game two. The Dash is expected to counter with Anthony Carter (6-3, 4.03) and Justin Edwards. Edwards will be making his High-A debut.

The afternoon will also feature a Father's Day umbrella giveaway to the first 1,000 fans courtesy of Acme. After the game the first 50 kids to sign up can run the bases presented by Ysmoke.org.

The Blue Rocks have now suffered nine rainouts in 2009, eight of them coming at Frawley Stadium. All tickets for Saturday's scheduled contests are redeemable for one calendar year at any Blue Rocks game.
