Led by another excellent performance from starter Ryan Carpenter, the Isotopes (50-47) defeated the Tacoma Rainiers (47-50), 3-1, on Wednesday. Albuquerque has now won 10 of its last 14 contests.

The outing from Carpenter marked the eighth-straight start where the southpaw has allowed three runs or fewer. The 26-year-old allowed just one run on four hits on Wednesday, walking two and striking out three.
Right-hander Carlos Estévez recorded 1.1 perfect innings out of the bullpen while lefty Zac Rosscup picked up his second save of the season.
At the plate, solo home runs from outfielders Noel Cuevas and Mike Tauchman led the way. Tauchman also recorded a sacrifice fly, finishing the evening 1-for-2 with two RBI.
The Isotopes and Rainiers wrap up their five-game, four-day series Thursday afternoon at Isotopes Park. Right-hander Zach Jemiola (3-2, 6.21) gets the start for Albuquerque while Tacoma counters with fellow righty Tyler Cloyd (1-1, 1.93). First pitch for Thursday's matinee is set for 12:05 p.m.
