Isotopes, Rockies Extend Player Development Contract Through 2022

The Albuquerque Isotopes and Colorado Rockies have extended their current Player Development Contract, continuing their partnership through the 2022 season.

The Albuquerque Isotopes and Colorado Rockies have extended their current Player Development Contract, continuing their partnership through the 2022 season.

The 2019 season will be the Isotopes and Rockies fifth as affiliates, dating back to 2015. The original Player Development Contract was scheduled to expire following the 2020 season.
"The Isotopes are elated to remain affiliated with the Rockies," said Isotopes Vice President and General Manager John Traub. "The partnership between our two organizations works on many levels, beginning with the strong relationships we have forged with Dick Monfort, Jeff Bridich, Zach Wilson and the entire Rockies organization. The Rockies are a class act and we couldn't be happier to be associated with them."
Traub added, "We are also very excited for our fans to see all of the young, talented players who are coming through the Rockies system play at Isotopes Park on their journey to Denver."

"Ken Young, John Traub, and the Isotopes organization as a whole have been fantastic partners throughout our tenure together. The Topes, the city and the great baseball fans of this community have made Albuquerque feel like home. We look forward to many more years of putting entertaining, energizing, winning baseball on the field."
 
Since the affiliation began, 58 players have come through Albuquerque en route to the Rockies, including Jon Gray Trevor Story Chad Bettis Kyle Freeland , David Dahl, Ryan McMahon and Garrett Hampson.
