The Albuquerque Isotopes, in conjunction with locally based Safe House Distillery, have unveiled “Watermelon Walk-Off” - a watermelon lemonade vodka ready-to-drink canned cocktail which is available now at select retail locations throughout the state of New Mexico.

The two community-based partners have joined efforts to create this new refreshing cocktail, featuring Teller Genuine Vodka.

“This is an awesome new venture that we’re embarking on and it’s a great way to enjoy the Isotopes brand year-round,” said Isotopes General Manager John Traub. “To have our community partners benefit from people purchasing the product is a very exciting bonus to this launch.”

Sales of “Watermelon Walk-Off” will benefit local non-profit groups as the Isotopes will donate one Reserved Level ticket for every can purchased to the team’s “Take You Out to the Ball Game” program. This initiative, which has been in place since the team’s inception in 2003, provides Isotopes tickets to charitable organizations and those who may not have the opportunity to otherwise attend a game.

“We foresee this being a long-lasting partnership with many more specialty products down the road,” said Michelle Tabrizian, Business/Brand Development Manager for Safe House Distilling, which opened its doors in 2019.

Watermelon Walk-Off will be available at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park starting tomorrow night when the Isotopes begin their final homestand of the 2021 season. The cocktail is also on the menu at Safe House Distilling located at 616 Gold SW.
