Mike Tauchman's four-hit night helped the Isotopes (21-21) mount a late rally Friday, but the Aces (18-24) held off Albuquerque for a 9-7 win at Isotopes Park.

Tauchman was a double shy from hitting for the cycle, compiling two singles, a triple and a home run. The outfielder had a chance to complete the cycle in the ninth inning, but flew out to right. Tauchman's home run was his sixth of the year and ignited a four-run eighth inning for the Isotopes.
Albuquerque registered three home runs overall on the evening, despite also striking out a season high 18 times. Jordan Patterson belted his 11th long ball to tie Tom Murphy for the team lead. Ryan McMahon hit the club's final home run on Friday, coming during Albuquerque's eighth inning rally. The Isotopes have now hit 14 home runs over their last five games.
Starting pitcher David Holmberg surrendered nine runs (six earned) and 11 hits in his 4.2 innings on the hill. The loss drops the southpaw's record to 2-3 for the season.
The Isotopes and Aces continue their four-game series on Saturday night. Albuquerque has not announced a starting pitcher for the contest. First pitch from Isotopes Park is schedule for 6:35 p.m.
