Losing Streak Hits Five Games for Isotopes in Las Vegas

The Isotopes' (44-47) bad luck continued on Friday the 13th as their losing streak reached a season-high five games as the Las Vegas 51s (44-48) defeated Albuquerque 12-0 at Cashman Field.

The Isotopes' (44-47) bad luck continued on Friday the 13th as their losing streak reached a season-high five games as the Las Vegas 51s (44-48) defeated Albuquerque 12-0 at Cashman Field.

The shutout loss was Albuquerque's eighth of 2018, tying it with Iowa for the most in the PCL. The Isotopes still collected eight hits on the night led by Shawn O'Malley with three. O'Malley is 10-for-15 at the plate over his last six games.
David Holman made his sixth start of the season for Albuquerque, surrendering six runs (five earned) and nine hits in 5.0 innings. Las Vegas hit two homers off the right-hander in the first inning including an inside-the-park home run from Jeff McNeil. The loss was the Holman's third of the season.
Albuquerque and Las Vegas continue their four-game set on Saturday from the Silver State. Lefty Sam Howard is scheduled to take the mound for the Isotopes. The game is slated to get underway at 8:05 p.m.
