On Star Wars night at Pohlman Field, a big sixth inning helped the Beloit Snappers (51-45) jump the Dayton Dragons (44-53) 5-0 in front of 2,436 fans.

In the sixth, Hunter Hargrove got the scoring started by doubling home Austin Beck after Beck led off the inning with a double.
One batter later, Logan Farrar launched his 10th home run of the season to deep right field to plate Hargrove and the score was pushed to 3-0. Farrar is now tied with Jesus Lopez for the team lead in homers.
Lopez, after walking in the sixth inning, would come around and score on a wild pitch to make it 4-0. A fielding error from Dragons first baseman Leandro Santana allowed Jack Meggs to score after he walked earlier in the inning and the inning would conclude with the Snappers leading 5-0.
Leading the way was Snappers starter Jared Poché. Poché went seven complete innings, tying his career high, surrendering zero runs on five hits, one walk and four strikeouts. He has now won his last four starts and moved to 7-6 on the season, holding the team lead in wins.
Josh Reagan pitched two scoreless innings in relief. Jeter Downs lined out to Mickey McDonald in right, making a nice sliding grab, to end the game in the ninth.
Both Poché and Dragons starter Packy Naughton kept the game scoreless through five innings before the Snappers broke through in the sixth. Naughton earned his ninth loss of the season.
Farrar finished 2-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and two RBI that came on the homer in the sixth. Also leading on offense was lead-off hitter Nick Allen, who recorded his second three-hit game of the season going 3-for-5 and getting his 11th multi-hit game in his last 28 games.
Beloit got win number 14 in the last 16 games and moved to 17-11 in series openers this season. They now have multi-hit games in 29 of their last 30 games.
This was the seventh shutout win of the season for the Snappers and they now have 10 or more hits in eight of their last 12 games.
The Snappers will embark on game five this homestand Sunday afternoon against the Dragons, with first pitch at at 2:00 p.m. Starting on the mound for Beloit will be right-hander Wyatt Marks (4-6, 3.58). Dayton will send out right-hander Adrian Rodriguez (4-5, 7.63).
